Installation of Cantilever Awnings

As any city or urban area experiences growth, the need for new and updated buildings follows. We’re proud to offer cantilever awnings that are commonly attached to new and renovated buildings offering shelter, shade, and a modern look to your business’ exterior facade. Our team is capable of attaching these to brick, cement block, stucco, and most other common building substrates.

By attaching the awning structure to the wall above your doors or windows, we’re able to mount support poles from the wall to the canopy eliminating the need for vertical columns that extend the ground and clutter the design as well as the area beneath the awning. Our awnings are fabricated to your exact specs, typically with sturdy aluminum that is corrosion-resistant. We can include custom drainage solutions, many design styles, and finishes in any color you’d like. Some projects are for private residences, but most commercial metal awnings are ordered by general contractors, developers, or architects.

We specialize in stairs for the greater Wichita area but are skilled and experienced at many other types of metal fabrication for local commercial clients. We offer turnkey solutions meaning that you don’t need to daisy chain various trades together for an end result. We can plan, design, fabricate, and install almost any metal project you need handled. Call on us for metal stairs, traditional fabric awnings, or cantilevered canopies.

Founded in 1885, Valley Center sits about a 20 minute drive northwest of Wichita. There is a history center at 310 E. 3rd St. called the Valley Center Historical Museum. It is open in the afternoons on Tuesdays through Saturday and manned by an all volunteer staff. Here, you’ll be able to find photographs, documents, and memorabilia such as diaries and newspapers that have been gathered over the years to document the area’s past. You’ll find exhibits about local art that has emerged from the area, movies that have been filmed there and original and replica buildings and settings that speak with the lifestyle of previous generations.

There is plenty to do outdoors in the warmer seasons in Kansas including a small park in the southern portion of Valley Center. Lions Park contains a short .39 mile loop around it for walkers, bikers, and any other light kid’s activities. Two asphalt pickleball courts have been installed with nets for players to enjoy. There is also a dog park and playground along with picnic tables.

Another outdoor activity is the farmers market which is open the first and third Thursdays from May through September from 4 until 7:30. You’ll find local fruits and veggies plus food trucks and various merchants lining Main Street with smiles and community friends during this time. Outside of the farmer’s market hours, you’ll find restaurants, sports bars, and coffee shops on or nearby Main Street.

Located in Sedgwick County, Valley Center is one of the last urban towns when traveling north on I-35 before you leave the county and enter Harvey County. If driving from Wichita, you’ll first pass Park City  and then another 10 minutes northeast will land you in Valley Center. If you continue a little further north to Kechi, you can check out the sought after Elderslie farm to table restaurant where you can organize private events or have a small family outing after picking fresh blackberries during the right summer months.
